You're gonna have A good Time, all you have to do is figure out what you're going to do from so many good things. We are big into boating, plus fishing for dinner. You can actually catch a lot of fish from the bridges, like the channel 2 bridge or the channel 5 bridge. That area around mile marker 60 near Hawks Cay has a bunch of good bridge bots to fish. If you're heading down to Key West and are bringing your boat, the best place to go is the City Marina Ramp at mile marker two. The most popular area for the boater in the lower Florida Keys, as you can get out to the best areas in just minutes. There are plenty of options in the harbor for fuel, bait, beer, and tackle. There is another small ramp over near Mallory Square, the Simonton Street Ramp. This is one of the public ramps located all the way down the chain of islands. A great location, with very limited parking, only a handful. It is maintained by the city of Key West. Summer is very hot here, but I do have a decent swimming pool at Dantes restaurant for cooling off!
We got to explore many good parts of the islands. I wanted to comment on some of the good restaurants. We got some great sandwiches for the boat trip at City Hall Cafe. Find this great little cafe on Plantation key, part of the forest tek building at mile Marker 88. It has all the goodies like wraps, salads, sandwiches, plus beer and wine. For a sit down meal, we enjoyed the dinner at Tasters Grille. We ran into this little market and grill in the Tavernier towne center, mile marker 91, by the winn dixie. The hidden away Restaurant Winner is the Hogfish Bar and grill. What everyone says about the Hogfish, this is a fantastic restaurant if you can find it! There are signs on the island that help you navigate your way through Stock Island. We love shrimp! The locals of the Lower Florida Keys have selected the Hogfish and Shrimp Shack as one of the top rated waterfront restaurants.
I have to give you congratulations on your success. I'm glad you been recognized for your wonderful contributions to Key West Bocce and softball and for the handicapped. Once you move up the ladder through these governmental agencies and become the secretary of the national parks and recreation foundation, I will come stay with you at the white house! Best regards, Stuart from Florida Keys, the park lover!
