What an excellent trip we had down here, the beaches are excellent. It's a good idea to stop on your way down at a couple of the beaches so you Get into the Water right away. Anne's beach in Islamorada is a good one. You want to have your beach shoes on, the kind that can get wet. Do not wear flip-flops, because they go down into the sand when you're walking in six inches of water. You need good beach shoes. If you don't want to stop at a beach on the way down and try something different what about the Wild Bird Center. The nature and wildlife of the Florida Keys is on full display at the bird park. Expect to see all sorts of wild bird species and the classic island style nature. This is good for everybody. It was A Pleasure to pick a cheaper rental location on Stock Island. Where you take depends on the price. They even have a great park your called Bernstein Park. A local favorite for outdoor play used mainly by those residents on Stock Island. In the center of the island is this large park, used as part of the softball leagues. It has swings, basketball, jogging path, and more of the things that children will enjoy. Easy to find, turn off us1 on cross street, then down and left turn on fifth avenue. The park will be on your right.
