Many people traveling down to the islands don't realize that you actually can get all kinds of coupons and discounts. It's a quick little break, and they always have a restaurant let's clean, so you're not really wasting much time. Most everything that you could possibly think of doing has a ten percent or twenty percent off coupon.
We always plan our bathroom breaks around the Visitors Center, and come away smiling with some kind of deal. There also helpful with the weekly events, some of the local things that you might not realize are available. Asked for some of those Subway foot-long coupons. They also give you discounts for Papa John's Pizza and that's one of my favorites. I glad we took this trip as a recommendation from one of the Coldwell Banker real estate folks.
We love to use the people here for info. This website is run and paid for by the Monroe County Tourism Tax. Less video focused, but better for the event lists, things to do lists, Live Music, etc. You see here the default page for the Marathon and Middle Florida Keys Zone.
All of the waterfront hotels should offer complimentary use of two beach cruisers, fat tire Bikes and a two person ocean kayak. Most of the places in Key Colony Beach do that as a standard practice. Yeah, Bicycles and Kayaking from the Hotels!
For the restaurant dining we like most the Salty's Waterfront Grill - Hurricane Bar & Grille - and Sombrero Dockside Lounge who is big on Live Music nightly.
