It is really nice and we got lucky and picked this hotel. You get mega water pleasure with the beach area and great swimming pool. Walk the docks and catch fish there too. We like the kayak trips and it is not far from Tavernier Creek, the South Key Largo Channel. It also has a boat ramp next to the office check-in. It would be tough to find a better place.
What a super four nights. From the hotel you can go to the City Center in Key Largo for the reef boats. We saw an article in the Scuba Diving Magazine that recommended Horizon Divers. They were great and have a full service dive shop too. For us it as all about reef scuba and snorkeling what a treat it was.
The hotel rooms have a refrigerator and you are going to need that with the fish. We did the Miss Islamorada Fishing Boat and came home to the hotel with over ten pounds of fish filets. The Marker 88 Restaurant is good for Cooking Your Catch.
Use the Kayaks and chart your own course, both directions from the hotel docks are very nice to see. No need to pay for an eco-tour, as you can do it on your own. Along the way you will see lots of birds, manatees, sharks, and dolphins.
I've only been to Florida once and the fishing is unreal, if you have the budget to travel and fish, this is the place to go. Use the fly fishing techniques to catch a big tarpon.
